Archie Leland Jackson, 51, died Tuesday, March 30, 1971, in Silver City, New Mexico.

Services were held at the First Baptist Church in Carbon with the Rev. Bruce McNair, pastor, officiating.  Burial in Murray Cemetery at Carbon.

Born November 8, 1919, in Carbon, he had been a resident of Silver City three years and was store manager of Union Supply Co.

Survivors are his wife, Pauline; one son, Larry; one daughter, Diana; one step-daughter, Mrs. Linda Halum of Missouri; three sisters, Mrs. Lou Ann Griffith of Midland, Ms. Betty Jackson of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Patsy Sims of Graham; five brothers, L. V. and J. E. both of Carbon, Bobby Joe of Odessa, D. D. of Cisco and Dwain of Ft. Stockton; one grandchild; his mother, Mrs. Jewell Jackson of Carbon.
