Tommy Baker - Class Of 1946

Tommy J. Baker 1928-2004

Tommy was born on January 2, 1928 at Carbon, Texas to Walter S. and Elva (Murray) Baker.  He was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1966.  He later retired from his second career at J. J. Finley Construction.

Tommy passed away quietly at his home in Ranger on Saturday, June 19, 2004.  He was 76 years of age.

Survivors incude his wife of 54 years, Edy Baker of Ranger; daughters Sara Marquart and husband Cliff of Gun Barrel, Roberta Robinson and husband Richard of Houston and Mary Jo Baker of Ranger; a brother Dale Baker of Eastland; sisters Lila Tabers of Brewton, Alabama and June Kincheloe of Olden; grandchildren, Robert and Amanda Hawkins of Plano, Randy Robinson of Houston, Cory and Jennifer Tucker of Eastland, Nikki and Kelli Leggett of Ranger and Chelsea Marquart of Farmers Branch; great-grandchildren Dakota, Shelby, Captain and Roman and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services:  2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2004 Graveside

Interment:  Murray Cemetery Carbon, Texas

Pallbearers:  Honor Guard U. S. Air Force.
