Bennis Lee Snodgrass died suddenly Wednesday, September 18, 2002, at his home.

Memorial services were held Saturday, September 21, 2002.  Mr. Snodgrass was cremated.  Cremains  wereburied in Murray  Cemetery at Carbon, Texas. 

He was born December 15, 1925, to the late Elbert and Pearl (Rhyne) Snodgrass.  He married Modess Hill in 1960 in Midland.  She preceded him in death January 12, 1997.  He had lived in many West Texas towns, and retired from Haliburton Oil in 1992.  He was a Baptist, was preceded in death by one brother, Harold, of Midland.

Survivors include two daughters, Melannie Johnson of Collinsville and Thelma Yeats of Denton; three sisters, Ann Murray of Eastland, Lottie Fox of Olden and Dorothy Tracy of Mesquite; one brother, W. Jack Snodgrass of Deerfield Beach, Florida; five grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
