Debbie Jackson (Cox)

Deborah "Debbie" Sue Cox, beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister, went to be with her Lord Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, after a long battle with cancer.  Debbie was born July 10, 1950, in Gorman.  She graduated from Carbon High School in 1968 and earned a bachelor of arts degree in education from North Texas State University in 1971 and her elementary teaching certificate from Texas Christian University in 1989.  For thirteen years before her death she pursued her passion of teaching first and third grades at Delaney Primary School in the Kennedale School District.  In 1999 she was selected as teacher of the year.  Debbie was preceded in death by her father James E. "Heppy" Jackson.

Survivors are husband, Danny; sons, Corey and wife, Shannon, and Cody Cox all of Arlington; mother, Jonell Jackson of Carbon; sister, Linda and husband, Curtis, of Horseshoe Bay; brother-in-law, Eddie Cox and wife, Dona of Red Oak; nephew, Brent; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
