Jimmie Adams, 96, of Abilene, died Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Hendrick Medical Center.  Funeral service was Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oldham Lane Church  of Christ in Abilene.  Burial followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cisco.

Jimmie was born on September 21, 1918 in Cisco to Loyd and Beatrice Reeves.  She attended and graduated from Carbon High School in 1936 and was the last surviving member of the 1936 girls basketball team.  Jimmie later married J. W. Adams and the couple settled in Odessa.  While in Odessa, she worked as the manager of the Franklin Dress Shop for 25 years.  In 1980, J. W. and Jimmie retired to Eastland, but health concerns forced them to relocate ot Abilene.

Survivors are her brothers, Charles and Bill Harris of Odessa; her son, Ernie Adams and wife, Kathye of Abilene; two grandsons and two great-grandsons.
