George Kenneth Snider

George Kenneth Snider, 80, of Rose Bud, Arkansas, died May 4, 2015 in his home after a long battle with cancer.  He was born November 22, 1934 in Gorman, Texas, to the late Jewel and Maggie Snider.  He married Vonceia Campbell on July 20, 1956.  Mr. Snider retired as a Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force after serving 23 years.  He drove a school bus for Rose Bud Schools for 13 years and raised cattle on his farm.  He loved playing guitar and singing with his friends and family, fox hunting, playing cards and being with his family.  He was a member of Rose Bud First Baptist Church.  He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Marie Friday, Treva Green, and Diana Snider, and one brother, Thomas Snider.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marie Voncei Snider, his son and daughter-in-law, James and Melinda Snider of Rose Bud, three daughters and sons-in-law, Audry and Chris Humphreys of Guthrie, Okalhoma, Linda and Charlie Archer of Arkadelphia, and Julie and Scott Ramsey of Fayetteville, six granddaughters, Mallory Green and husband Jack of Rose Bud, Macie Snider of Fayetteville, Alyssa, Christa, Brianne and Rose Humphreys of Guthrie, Oklahoma, three grandsons, Braden and Mason Archer of Arkadelphia, and Aidan Ramsey of Fayetteville, two great grandchildren, Avi and Guthrie Green of Rose Bud, two sisters, Maudie Moll and Peggy Ingram of Cisco, Texas, and one brother, Larry Snider of Gorman, Texas.  Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Rose Bud First Baptist Church.
