Katha RLee Lovell McDaniel age 96, passed away  Sunday, June 25, 2017.

She was born July 24, 1920 to parents John Wallace Lovell and Edna Earl Greenwood in Eastland Co. She graduated from Carbon H.S. in 1938. She married James Elmer "Short" McDaniel Aug 17, 1942. They had two sons, James Duane and Wallace Earl McDaniel. She had been a faithful member of the 1st Baptist Church of Carbon since 1936. She was a devoted housewife and loving mother who worked for Shell Peanuts and later for Eastland and Ranger cattle auctions. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Duane and two great grand daughters. She is survived by her son Wallace and wife Paula of Clyde, TX, three grand daughters, one grandson and six great grand children. She is buried in the Murray Cemetery, east of Carbon.
