Arl Lasater - Class Of 1943

   Arlene Lasater, age 91, of carbon, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Eastland Memorial Hospital.

Graveside service was held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, with Steven Clark officiating at the Murray Cemetery near Carbon.

Arldine was born on April 30, 1924 in Eastland county, Texas to John Ambers Lasater and Trannie Mae Norris Lasater.  He served in the United States Army during World War II.  He married Margie Lena Falk on February 15, 1948 in Ranger, Texas.  He worked for the United States Postal service for 45 years as a rural mail carrier.  He also farmed for many years and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Margie Lasater of Carbon; three sons Ronald Lasater and wife, Ottie of High Point NC, Lyndon Lasater and friend, Tammy Berrier of Gorman and Terry Lasater and wife, Jeanette of Fort Worth; a sister Rozel Caraway of Eastland; five grandchildren, Lauren and spouse, Jo, Keesha and spouse, John, melissa and spouse, Cody, Joshua and Victoria and three great grandchildren, jack, Bryce and Bristol.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, George, John, Alvin Tom and Elzo Lasater.
