Jimmy Dale Hendricks, 74, of Eastland passed away Friday, April 15, 2011 in Eastland.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Siunday, April 17, 2011 at the Eastland City Cemetery with Doke Johnson officiating and under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.

Jimmy Dale was born on January 4, 1937 to Raymond Hendricks and Willie Mae Garrett.  Raised in the Flatwood community, Jimmy Dale was a graduate of Carbon High School.  It was during this time that he became an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.  By the age of 18, Jimmy Dale began a career as a grocer.  He worked in this field until the early '80"s.  It was then that he became an employee of TxDOT, where he would eventually retire.

Jimmy Dele was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Hendricks; brother, Harold Hendricks,; sister, Zelma Willoughby; step-father Delbert Cozart; and son-in-law, Terry Peeples.

Survivors are his mother, Willie Mae Cozart of Eastland; daughter, Kathi Johnson and Husband Doke of Eastland; daughter, Kerri Peeples of Eastland; daughter LaQuita Mox and husband Gregg of Colorado Springs, CO; and best friend Margie Hendricks of EAstland and her children, Debbie, Kathy, Sheila, Randy and Andy; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a niece and numerous nephews.

Jimmy Dale was well loved and will be missed.
