Blanche Campbell (Hall) - Class Of 1938

Blanche Campbell McGaha Hall, 91, of Eastland, passed away on February 24, 2012 in an Azle hospital.

Mrs. Hall was born on June 20, 1920 near Carbon.  She was a graduate of Carbon High School and attendedRanger Junior College.  She married Bewel McGaha June 8, 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1968.  She married Price Hall in 1985 and he preceded her in death in 1999.  Also preceding her in death are her parents and brother, Wayne Campbell.

For thirty years she was employed by Phelps Dodge Mercantile as Ladies Clothing Department Manager and Buyer.  She was the past Noble Grand Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star #15 of Clifton, Arizona and also a member of the Eastland Chapter #280, Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years.

In 1981, she retired to Eastland, where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class.

Survivors include two step-daughters and their families:  Janet Mease and Husband Mike and Joretta Gustafore and husband Ed; one sister-in-law:  Louise Campbell of Azle, Texas; one brother-in-law:  Royce McGaha and wife, Hope of Carbon; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a host of neices, nephews and friends.

Graveside Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 27 at Murray Cemetery, Carbon, Texas with Rev. Bob Rainey, officiating.  Visitation was from 12 to 1 pm Monday at Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.
