Ollie Dale Baker, Age 80, of Eastland died Thursday, September 27, 2012 in Eastland. 

A graveside service was held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Murray Cemetery in Carbon.  The family received friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland.

Mr. Baker was born March 1, 1932 in Eastland County, TX to the late Walter Smith and the late Elva (Murray) Baker.  He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 10/26/1949 to 10/30/1953 working as a prop mechanic.  Dale worked for VC Printing from 1954 until his retirement and was a member of the Pistol and Rifle Club of Eastland.  He has resided all of his life in Eastland County and was previously married to Ann Brooks.

He is survived by his daughters, Lila Rice of Eastland and Judy Gentry and husband David of Selman City; sisters, June Kincheloe of Olden and Lila Tabers of Brewton, Alabama; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-greandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Baker.

Memorials may be made to the VA Hospital.
