Alvie Edwin Allison, 62, longtime minister, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2011, in Arlington, Texas.

Funeral was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, at Tate Springs Baptist Church, in Arlington.  The Rev. Terry Jeffries, the Rev. Charles Clary and the Rev. Bart McDonald officiated.  Interment was 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6 in Bear Springs Cemetery, Eastland County.

Brother Alvie was born January 31, 1949, in Big Lake to Euell Edwin Allison and Jenoise Lovell Allison.  A resident of Arlington for the past 29 years, he graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1977 with a master of religious educaiton.  Brother Alvie was a minister for 42 years.

Survivors:  Beloved wife of 40 years, Linda Allison; son, David Allison and wife, Mandy; daughters Adrienne Ingram and hustand, Jason, and Stacia Miller and husband, Scott; sister, Ann Lowrie and husband, Shane; six grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
